Ofail definitely didn’t expect Vice President Dick Cheney to be such an eloquent and aggressive critic, so his spoiled-child reaction to Cheney’s long planned speech on national security is not too surprising.

Cheney will be speaking this morning at 10:45 a.m. on “Keeping America Safe: An Address by Dick Cheney” during a 45-minute appearance at the conservative American Enterprise Institute. Cheney will take questions during his open-press appearance, which was scheduled several weeks ago.

But as his criticism of Ofail’s destructive policies has gotten louder over the intervening weeks, the White House has been in a tizzy, unsure how to respond.  Their big idea?  Hastily schedule a speech by the president on the same topic at basically the same time.  Instead of letting the former elected number two have his say and present a coherent argument against the Socialist policies of the administration, Ofail just tries to shout louder and drown Cheney out.  Shameful.

Of course the MSM won’t give a fair comparison of the two speeches… but that’s what we expect from them.  The transcripts and video will be there to tell the true tale.

As expected, Obortion was met by a huge contingent of protesters lining the streets as he arrived at Notre Dame to deliver the commencement address, despite calls from concerned Catholics around the world — not the least of which being the Pope and 77 of his bishops — that he not embarrass the church by attending.

But in the end, it was pretty predictable.  Ofail tried to soft pedal the core issue at hand — KILLING INNOCENT BABIES — by saying hey, we can all get along, we can agree to disagree, right?  Let’s all be open minded about this.  He called for  “fair-minded words” in the discussion about abortion.  I wonder what “fair-minded words” he would have encouraged if he were speaking about slavery.

At least the students and attendees at the commencement made sure to keep Obortion on his toes with their calls out to him.  Here’s a video from YouTube of some of the interruptions he faced:

When Ofail announced during the campaign that if elected (he probably said “when elected”) he would give a speech from a Muslim capital, eyes across the country rolled.

Well, it’s going to happen, and the lucky country that gets to host the next stop on the Global Apology Tour is Egypt.  But there is one curious thing…

He will be giving the speech not from Egyptian People’s Assembly (their parliament) or somewhere that might have a democratic tone to it.  No, he’s going to a more significant location:  the Al Azhar Mosque, which is considered the center of the Arabic world.

Curiously, non-Muslims are typically not permitted in mosques; no non-Muslim has ever given a speech from Al Azhar.  But apparently they’re breaking this rule for Ofail… or are they?

Wow.

Monday, Michelle Hussein Obama told a crowd in Milwaukee “For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country.”  She actually said it twice that day, so clearly, this is something that she’s serious about.

I don’t know about her, but I’ve always been VERY proud to be an American.

I’m not sure what her problem is…  America has been pretty darned good to the affluent big business lawyer I guess telling everyone that America is part of their plan to sell us into wholesale socialism in 2009.
